Welcome to my website

I am an English artist living in West Somerset where I have my studio and make paintings and prints. I work with oil paint and acrylics on canvas and watercolour with mixed media on paper. I also make original artist’s prints on paper, using mainly etching and some from lino and wood cut.

My work is shown under subject area rather than medium, so you will find my ideas often explored on parallel themes in both paint and print on the same page.

The links between cultures and sense of continuity, the ‘spirit of place’ form the underlying basis for my work, Exmoor, and Greece being a constant source of inspiration, as are music, poems, gardens and archaeology.
