In making a garden we try to impose ourselves on nature and create
a fantasy . The Renaissance brought the classical influence to English
gardens, a tradition that still prevails, and one that I much enjoy.
I also like greenhouses, pergolas and statuary, which sometimes
all come together in one glorious garden.
